FanDuel & DraftKings DFS Infielders
Elvis Andrus- SS vs. David Price
I’m still not sold on Price being 100% and he’s been lit up in the past this season. Price comes into this match-up with a 3-2 record but a 4.61 ERA, only 36 Ks and a 1.27 WHIP. WE might have seen the last of the dominant David Price and Andrus has succeeded against him in the past. Lifetime Andrus is 21 for 44 (.477 BA) with 20 singles and a double. That’s dominating, and Andrus has been heating up lately. Let’s just say that hopefully after the slate is over, Elvis will have left the building aka hitting that BOOMstick shot!
Evan Longoria- 3B vs Jon Lester
While I think Lester will be able to struck out most batters tonight, Longo has had his number in the past with 15 hits in 63 ABs (.238 BA) with 7 singles, 4 doubles and 4 HRs. Along with those numbers he’s also struck out an astonishing 22 times against Lester so he might be only a GPP option at this point.
FanDuel & DraftKings DFS Outfielders
Justin Upton- OF vs Matt Cain
Matt Cain should not be a starting pitcher in the MLB anymore. He’s more like an arm that the Giants are trotting out there as they continue to spiral into obscurity this season. This game is being played in Detroit so it’s a hitter’s park which is a plus. Cain comes into this game sporting a 3-7 record with a 5.46 ERA and a 1.71 WHIP. Upton has always had prodigious power and that could be on display tonight. Lifetime he has 14 hits in 49 ABs (.286 BA) with 8 singles and 6 doubles.
Nelson Cruz- OF vs Jason Vargas
Now while Vargas has been absolutely dominant this season, he has been able to get lit up a couple of games as well. Vargas does come into this game with a 12-3 record, 2.22 ERA and 74 Ks and has won his last 7 straight starts but Cruz has had his number in the past. Cruz has 10 hits in 31 ABs (.323 BA) with 4 singles, 2 doubles, and 4 HRs. I like Cruz for both cash and GPP tonight.
Tigers vs Matt Cain
Rockies vs Homer Bailey
Yankees vs JA Happ
