Others to consider: None :(, this slate is rough for pitching

Best MLB DFS hitters for April 5, 2018

Bryce Harper vs Jacob deGrom

If you’re not going with deGrom on this terrible pitching slate, look towards Harper today. H’es 9 for 24 including 2 doubles, 1 HR, and a .375 BA against him. He’s in for a monster year if he can stay healthy and this game being played outside of Citi Field makes it even more enticing on a slate that doesn’t show a ton of promise.

Khris Davis vs Martin Perez

We haven’t used him much this season but today could be the day we unleash him upon our lineups! he’s faced Perez 23 times and has mild success in the past. In those plate appearances Davis has 8 hits including 2 doubles, 2 HRs and 6 walks for a nice .471 BA. He’s safe for either cash or GPP today.

Miguel Cabrera vs James Shields

When people like to bash BvP (Batter vs. Pitcher) I like to point this match-up out every year. Miggy is coming off of a career-low year and he has been all but forgotten this season so far. He dropped in season-long drafts and you rarely see him in MLB DFS lineups. Miggy has a whopping 70 ABs against Shields with 26 hits including 10 doubles and 4 HRs with a .371 BA. He is a great play for both cash and GPP lineups today.

Ryan Braun vs Jon Lester

Braun has absolutely struggled to start the season as his 1B plan might now have worked out for the best and couple that with him only have 3 hits in 17 ABs so far. Luckily 2 of the 3 hits were HRs so we know the pop is still there. He makes a GPP-Only type play today for us but lifetime against Lester he is 7 for 16 (.438 BA) including 5 doubles and 2 triples. If he can get on base he could also steal a couple bags as we all know that Lester has trouble picking people off.
